Nokia 5230V and Nokia X6V Elusive Handset

Nokia and Virgin Mobile have publicized the launch of two of its special Verizon mobile phones to support the annual V Festival in the UK. The Nokia 5230V (above left) and Nokia X6V (above right) come pre-loaded with a V Festival App and will be exclusively being released on Virgin Mobile.

The special 'V' edition Nokia phone come complete with cutting-edge technology and comes exclusively V Festival content. The 'V' edition Nokia handsets are exclusively available from Virgin Media stores on the high street, as well as online. The Nokia X6V is available free on a £20 per month tax (£15 for Virgin Media customers), and the Nokia 5230V is available free on a £15 per month tariff (£10 for Virgin Media customers).

The Nokia 5230V is a modish touchscreen handset with a tradition V Festival red back cover and ten free music tracks accessible on the Nokia Music Store. The Nokia X6V comes complete with a 5 megapixel camera, a music player including mixing software, plus built-in speakers, so festival-goers can carry on the party after the acts have completed. The Nokia 5230V and X6V both include free sat nav with Ovi Maps to guarantee the journey to the V Festival is a smooth and enjoyable one. Plus, both handsets come with V Festival wallpaper, the new V Festival app and Shazam music identifier pre-loaded to the handsets.

The V Festival app comes rooted into the special edition phones and will permit festival-goers to stay up-to-date with the entire latest buzz from V Festival. Social networking sites will be fed directly into the app as well as news, artist line-up information and live updates. The app will also allow festival-goers to produce their own modified programmer for the weekend and a GPS map of the entire site so they can head straight from stage to stage and find their friends with ease.
