Officials with Winnipeg Transit say a new message service lets customers get bus information on mobile devices and cell phones.

BUStxt uses a short message service (SMS) which people can access to get information, such as bus departure times, using a number of different search commands, say officials.

Transit riders can also use the service to find out when a bus they're currently on will arrive at a specific stop.
